About BHU Entrance Exams

Banaras Hindu University(BHU) earlier Central Hindu College, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It was established jointly by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, the Maharaja of Darbhanga Rameshwar Singh, Maharaja of Banaras Prabhu Narayan Singh, and Sunder Lal, and British Theosophist and Home Rule League founder Annie Besant in the year 1916.

Banaras Hindu University is the largest residential university in Asia. The university is one of the eight public institutions declared as an Institute of Eminence by the government of India.

BHU offers over 300 courses in multiple streams.

To get admission to BHU you have to crack the entrance exam for admission to UG courses offered by NTA.

Eligibility Criteria for BHU Entrance Exam:

  1. Candidates must have qualified 12th exam from any recognized exam board.
  2. Candidates must have to score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. There is no requirement for a minimum aggregate in the last qualifying examination for ST/SC students.
  3. Candidates applying for admission to the courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science stream must not be more than 22 years of age. ST/SC students have a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
