About PMP

The Project Management Professional(PMP)  certification is a worldwide professional project management designation.

PMP certification validates that you have the project leadership skills employers seek. The new PMP certification includes three key features:

  1. Predictive:  Predictive project management refers to when the scope of work and requirements for the project are clear and justify the detailed upfront planning.
  2. Agile: If you are Agile project manager have good collaboration skills, eagerly embrace complexity and thrive on rapid response times, then your talents are in demand.
  3. Hybrid: Agile Hybrid Project Pro is a new online course paired with a non-proctored online exam that validates you have upskilled and aligned to the new PMP standards, which include Agile and Hybrid approaches. 

The Project Management Institute(PMI) gives PMP certification to candidates.

You have to score 75% or higher across a 3 attempts exam to pass the PMP certification exam. You will have 3 attempts to pass the exam per year, if you fail the exam for three attempts in a year, then you have to wait for next year to attempt the exam again.

After obtaining a PMP certification, professionals can maintain it through a process, called the Continuing Certification Requirements(CCR) program.

Eligibility Criteria for PMP Certification:

  1.  35 hours of project management course training, and at least 36 months of project management experience if you have a four-year degree.
  2.  35 hours of project management course training with 60 months of experience if you have an associate degree or high school diploma.
